​Bop City is a rock and roll theme park founded in 1959 in Crittenden County, Arkansas, by Sam (Bopodopolous) Bop as a Mecca for believers in the new musical form sweeping the nation and the world.



The result was the world’s first theme park built to grow, thriving and evolving as the music it was built to celebrate did the same.  The park’s staff and the town’s citizens were one and the same, the entire populace dedicated to the park’s success.  Opened in 1959 with seven lands or “styles,” the park was an immediate hit and became a destination for artists from across the nation.
